Who we are
About Yadah Widows Foundation
A foundation built on care, resilience, and practical support.
Yadah Widows Foundation brings widows together around health services, life skills training, and sustainable support networks in Koforidua and surrounding communities.
Every program is created with the needs of widows and their families at the center, ensuring dignity and support.
We design initiatives that build skills, health, and income opportunities over the long term.
Our local partners, volunteers, and beneficiaries co-create solutions that feel relevant and respectful.
We respond to widows with compassion, care, and respect so they feel seen, supported, and valued.
A thoughtful approach to support, training and healing.
We combine care, development, and community-led design so support lasts beyond a single event.
We begin every relationship by understanding each widow’s situation and the resources she needs most.
Every service is delivered through trusted partners who honor privacy, culture, and personal dignity.
Our programs are rooted in local leadership and designed to grow the capabilities of families and communities.
Our support creates stability so widows can care for their children, pursue work, and regain confidence after loss.
- Improved wellness across households
- Increased local entrepreneurship and income generation
- A stronger network of women supporting one another
Yadah Widows Foundation was built from a simple belief: every widow deserves support that restores dignity, creates opportunity, and helps her family move forward with confidence. Our journey has grown through listening, service, and steady partnership.
What started as a small act of care grew into a formal support network for widows in the Eastern Region, grounded in dignity, prayer, and practical help.
We deepened our outreach through health screening, food support, and compassionate visits, helping families feel seen, safe, and supported in daily life.
Our training and empowerment initiatives now focus on income-generating skills, stronger confidence, and long-term resilience for widows and their children.
